Just experienced a similar encounter around thirty minutes ago with this number, and funnily enough, we received a call from another number that’s strikingly similar back on the 31st of July. My advice? Just disregard it; it’s obviously some sort of scam. I'm with Virgin myself, so I don't reckon it makes a difference which provider you have.

Received a call from this number on my mobile and I hung up straight away. It eerily resembles the number 0871 623 0281, which pulled a similar stunt on 31st May 2008. I’m with the 3 network, by the way. Has anyone else had a similar experience or recognised who might be behind this?
