7 yearsBefore I even picked up, I saw the word INTERNATIONAL just above the number on my phone. When the woman spoke, she just guessed my name without even a hello or good morning. I’m always cautious with calls marked as International, and she didn’t even get my name right - I've been remarried for over a decade, so if this was important, surely she’d know my proper name. I said, "Could you please tell me who’s calling?" and she immediately cut me off. If this had been a legitimate call, answering a simple question like that wouldn’t have been an issue. I wasn’t asking for much - just trying to find out who I was speaking with.
