We continually get the same daft text message on our landline. Earlier, we spent nearly twenty minutes trying to get through on 0844 559 9639 and when we finally connected, the woman simply apologised and said their system was down, so we should ring back tomorrow. We made it quite clear that we have no association with Mr Mazri or this address anymore, and there’s absolutely no way we’re calling back as they won't be getting a penny from us. We've since added the number to our call blocking service with BT.

** Be wary of 08715720062 as it appears to be a similar scam **. We received a call through BT's SMS to speech facility. This time the number in question is 08715720213 (0871 572 0213). They gave a reference number and also brought up "Idaho" in the conversation. It definitely feels dodgy, so I've chosen to disregard it. A legitimate debt collection agency tends to send written correspondence, making it perfectly acceptable to ignore this dubious attempt.

Not long ago, we signed up for a new contract mobile, and wouldn’t you know it, within a mere few weeks of it being switched on, we received a call from a Philips number. Unfortunately, we were at work and couldn't take it at the time, but I’m rather glad we decided to look into it now!

I recently found out that a company with the same name was trying to fraudulently siphon off $500 from my account. Does anyone know the best way to contact them to sort this mess out?

Greetings! I'm reaching out as it seems we may have crossed paths in the past regarding our residence. Unfortunately, we misplaced some crucial documents from the bailiff quite a while ago, and finding you has proven quite the challenge. We've approached the council on a couple of occasions, but sadly, there's been no progress. I genuinely wish to settle the outstanding payment, though it's a bit overwhelming to handle it all at once. If you could give us a ring at your earliest convenience, I’m sure we can sort something out. The phone number is 07788181040. Thank you ever so much, and I apologise for any delays in payment. Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

For the past couple of days, I've been getting calls from this number. My partner, who used to work as a scam investigator with the constabulary, has looked into this and believes it’s likely a scam intended to extract money from unsuspecting individuals just by returning the call. They seem to be operating a premium rate phone line, and their automated message claims you could be waiting up to twenty minutes. My advice? Don’t bother ringing them back. Just disregard the message and reach out to your phone provider to get the number blocked.

I’ve been inundated daily with calls and texts from this number, along with 01325 383876. Strangely enough, they’re coming through to our landline, so I can’t even check the messages. It’s quite astounding considering our landline is ex-directory! They keep banging on about needing to clear things up or some such nonsense. Honestly, it’s incredibly frustrating and just a right pain in the neck!

Don’t pay any heed to the naysayers trying to dress this mess up as something decent. Instead, take a peek at the Bailiff discussions over on the Consumer Action Group website for a deeper understanding of this company and clever strategies to counter their menacing tactics.

We've received a letter claiming we owe £163 to Phillips, but we're quite certain we don't owe anything at all. Can anyone clarify whether they’re acting on behalf of the DVLA or if this is perhaps a scam? I'm reluctant to ring the number provided since there are so many negative reviews here. What steps do you recommend we take next?

Not long ago, we signed up for a new mobile contract, and wouldn't you know it, within a mere fortnight of activation, we received a call from a number registered to Phillips. Regrettably, we were busy at work and couldn't answer. Nonetheless, I’m quite pleased we decided to investigate this matter now!

I received a call through BT's text-to-speech messaging system, and the number that flashed up was 08715720213. They gave me a reference number and tossed in a mention of "Idaho". It all feels rather dodgy to me, so I've decided to give it a miss. It seems like a scam to me, so steer clear! If you call them back, be aware that you might end up waiting on the line for ages, and it could end up costing you a pretty penny. Best to ignore them entirely!

I recently moved into a new place, and shortly after my landline was set up, I started receiving texts from what appears to be the same Philips company (they've even got Idaho in their reference!). The numbers calling me are 0871 5720213 and 0871 5720062, and they're making ominous threats about dispatching debt collectors to my residence. It's clear this is a scam, and it has zero connection to me or the former occupant of this property. I'm at my wit's end trying to figure out how to put an end to these incessant daily messages!

I recently received a rather suspicious text message purportedly from a company named "Philips," which instructed me to call 0871 5720213 and provide a reference number along with the word "Idaho." This seemed to happen on a daily basis, and now they've escalated their threats, claiming they might dispatch a recovery agent to my residence. I strongly suspect this is nothing more than a scam, and after perusing various comments on this site, I’ve decided it would be quite unwise to dial that number.

I seem to be inundated with calls and text messages from this number, as well as another one, 01325 383876. The only unfortunate hitch is that these messages are being directed to our landline, which was meant to be unlisted! They keep going on about some sort of data deletion, but honestly, it’s nothing but a persistent irritation. I'm utterly fed up with these nuisance calls.

A company calling itself “Philips” has been persistently phoning us and even left multiple text messages on our landline. They are urging us to call 0871 5720213 and mention a reference number that includes the word "Idaho." This has been happening on a daily basis, and now they have resorted to menacing us with threats of sending a debt collector to our home. I'm convinced this is a scam, and having perused various discussions on this website, I have no intention of ringing that number anytime soon.
