I received a call from the Security team at Asda asking us to confirm some personal details. Of course, we declined, as we couldn't tell if the callers were legitimate! They urged us to ring the number on our card, which we did, leading to a real mess. I ended up speaking with two representatives in India and one in the UK, all in a bid to figure out what on earth was happening. They eventually told me it was just a standard verification since we'd made an online purchase. They did apologise for their confusion, but now we've just looked at our phone bill and discovered a charge of £3 for those calls!
