What on earth was this scam about? We’ve just dedicated a good half an hour chatting away on the phone with the company that this credit card statement claims to be associated with. We dialled the number listed on the supposed CC statement, which intriguingly mentioned we were in credit to the tune of £2.39. Now we’re rather anxious that the real trickery here might be that we’ve been hit with a hefty charge simply for making that call. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Honestly, this whole ordeal has been rather unsettling!

I've encountered a rather suspicious credit card statement myself, complete with an inkjet note claiming we have a balance in our account. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!
