Got a call from this number the other day. I only ever ring my mates, so there’s no chance I dialled it myself. Then I checked my latest phone bill and it’s got a £20 charge for calls to that very number - definitely not me. After having a look online, it seems to be linked to Carphone Warehouse. Since that time my credit score has also dropped, which is worrying. Just hoping no one else falls foul of this mess.

I got this number from The Carphone Warehouse as part of a mobile contract offer. Things have gone really bad with it and now I’ve got a negative mark on my Equifax credit report because of it. They claim they don’t handle the payments and it’s not their problem at all. Meanwhile, I’m stuck with a mobile bill charging me £9 for just a few minutes talking to them.
