The short ring is likely a tactic to entice unsuspecting folks to return the call, thus lining their pockets. Without getting more information on the identity of the caller, this is merely our hypothesis for now.

On the 19th of July, we had an unexpected turn of events. During the night, a call came through, but we missed it as we weren’t familiar with the number. We thought nothing more of it, but the next day, while the phone was nestled in my pocket, it inadvertently dialled the number on its own (thanks to the touchscreen!). To our astonishment, the call lasted a staggering 52 minutes and left us with a bill just shy of £20. Since that little debacle, we’ve taken precautions-now our screen is password protected to stop any future accidental calls to unknown numbers.

On the 19th of July, we encountered a rather curious incident. We received a call late at night, which we overlooked since we had no idea who the number belonged to. However, to our surprise, the following afternoon, my phone unexpectedly rang whilst nestled in my pocket (a pesky touch screen, you see). The call lasted a whopping 52 seconds and ended up costing us nearly twenty quid! It goes without saying that we've now set up a password-protected screen to thwart any future accidental calls. Quite the nuisance, if I’m honest!
