I’m on the ex-directory list and it’s become utterly tiresome dealing with them and other relentless cold callers. It feels like something should really be done to address this; it’s bordering on harassment. The situation has escalated to the point where I dread picking up the phone since they call at all sorts of odd hours. It seems someone must be peddling my number. Honestly, I’m at my wit's end. If it’s not happening on my landline, it’s my mobile that’s being hounded, and it’s non-stop on both fronts. The background hinted at a bustling Call Centre, with chatter and ringing phones. I retorted that I couldn't care less about their so-called first contact; my priority was for them to erase my number from their records, as no such individuals have ever resided at my address. Then, in a rather cheeky manner, the chap suggested that I must have a recycled phone number and advised me to reach out to my service provider. I firmly asserted it wasn't my responsibility to contact them, but rather theirs to remove my information forthwith! I'm well aware of how this works-each Debt Collection Agency, after failing to get results, simply passes the debt onto another agency to chase it down!
