Earlier today, my partner received a couple of calls from these utter muppets. The first one was relatively civilised, but the second took a rather nasty turn when the woman on the other end started to question why he had changed his mind about their ridiculous policy. It was quite apparent that she was not pleased. Interestingly, as soon as I brought up the Data Protection Act, the caller seemed rather flustered and couldn't clarify when exactly this so-called 'policy' was meant to take effect. I strongly advise steering clear of these absolute jokers - they’re as insufferable as the plague! Oh, and by the way, our efforts to trace this company have been in vain; it appears they might not even exist!

On the night I received the ring (18 January 2008), I shot off an email to Axa, and much to my surprise, I actually heard back from them earlier today. It turns out my query was directed to a specific branch of Axa. Given that we raised concerns not just about the ring itself but also the unprofessional tone of their initial response, they acknowledged our frustrations saying, “This behaviour is indeed unacceptable, and we sincerely apologise.” They’ve mentioned that they would look into the matter further once we provide them with the number in question. It almost seems like they were banking on us forgetting about it within the four days since the ring was received-how wrong they were!

I received two calls from this company. After the first one, from a chap with an American accent, my partner and I decided to look them up on this site and discovered they’re linked to those ring merchants known as "Telegen." The second time they rang, we made sure to answer. They droned on and on about AXA and accident insurance, but when we asked whether they were actually associated with AXA or Telegen, the call was cut off immediately. I'm certainly going to lodge a complaint with OFCOM. I might even take a leaf out of Kelly’s book and reach out to the BBC's "Watchdog."

A chap by the name of Mr. Samuel Saunders insisted that we had signed up for this plan, which we categorically stated we had not. After some back and forth, he mentioned that our details might have been shared with another party. It all seemed rather suspicious, and I've stumbled upon this website which has got me a bit anxious. I've lodged a complaint with OFCOM, although they didn’t ask us to fork out any cash at that point.
