There are moments when the commentary on this site can be dreadfully uninspiring - take Tony's so-called “fraud” accusations, for instance. Come on, Tony! You’re the one who shared your number! As Dave rightly pointed out, this number belongs to a central security office. If you're listed as a key holder for a Redcare burglar or fire alarm system, then you’d absolutely get a call from them if the alarm triggers.

Last night, this number gave us a bell rather late, but unfortunately, we didn’t catch the call in time. So, in a bid to uncover who was on the other end, we decided to plug it into a search engine, which led us to this site. It turns out it was actually the security company our workplace employs, and they were trying to reach us because the alarm had been triggered. They needed a key holder to pop over and check things out. I've now added the number to our contacts, just in case something like this happens again in the future.

If you're unsure about your status as a key holder, it’d be wise to have a chat with your employer. They ought to have given you the necessary permissions, and if you've got access to keys and codes, that indicates a level of trust. Plus, don't forget that you might even receive a little extra on your pay for taking on such responsibilities! 😉
