I received a rather unwelcome call that seemed to be from a company offering mobile upgrade services. Regrettably, I’m not familiar with their business, but I have a strong aversion to any sort of sales pitch from firms, particularly unsolicited ones. Despite being registered with the TPS, it frustratingly doesn’t seem to deter all the cold calls. These intrusive calls are irksome, and I have no intention of engaging with the caller simply based on the fact that they interrupted me without prior invitation.

I provided them with my email, name, date of birth, and address because they assured me they would set me up on a rolling monthly contract. However, in hindsight, I’m starting to wonder if they were genuinely who they claimed to be. Should I be concerned about this?

I received a call concerning O2 upgrades, and when I requested them to take my number off their list, they just cut the line without a word. Quite discourteous, if you ask me!

Received a call earlier on, and I mistakenly consented to them dispatching a mobile my way. However, after speaking with O2, they advised me against engaging with them further. Their website’s www.upgrademeup.co.uk, should anyone be curious. It seems they're more trouble than they’re worth, with a good likelihood of unexpected fees and whatnot. Now, I need to get in touch with them to cancel the handset they planned on sending, but I’m not keen on ringing that dubious number or divulging my email. Unfortunately, I can't seem to locate a landline! Best to steer clear of them altogether, in my opinion.

Someone rang me claiming to be from O2, but I quickly realised it was just a ploy to push a new contract on me. I told them to shove off and hung up.
