I received a rather unwelcome call that seemed to be from a company offering mobile upgrade services. Regrettably, I’m not familiar with their business, but I have a strong aversion to any sort of sales pitch from firms, particularly unsolicited ones. Despite being registered with the TPS, it frustratingly doesn’t seem to deter all the cold calls. These intrusive calls are irksome, and I have no intention of engaging with the caller simply based on the fact that they interrupted me without prior invitation.

I got a call about upgrading with O2, told them to take me off their list, but they just cut me off without saying a word - really impolite.

So, earlier today I got a call and half-heartedly said yes to getting a phone sent over. Afterwards, I phoned O2 and they warned me not to trust that company. For anyone curious, their site is www.upgrademeup.co.uk. Honestly, seems like a load of trouble with likely sneaky fees lurking around. Now I’ve got to tell them to cancel the phone delivery, but I’m really not keen on ringing their number or handing over my email. Plus, I can’t seem to find any landline for them! Seriously, steer clear of these lot.

Somebody called saying they were from O2, but it was just a sales trick to get me to sign a new contract. I told them to buzz off straight away.

They called me a couple times and when I tried calling back, the dial tone didn't sound like a normal British one. They said they were from O2 but I'm pretty sure that wasn't true.
