I've received calls from this agency purporting to gather details on behalf of a surveyor, but it consistently revolves around the address of a property up for sale. Oddly enough, they never seem to inquire about any properties that have recently changed hands. When pressed on the standard practice that surveyors typically request data about recent transactions, they merely brush it off, suggesting they’re following instructions. It all feels rather dodgy to me. I’m quite wary and refuse to provide them with any details; instead, I tell them to have the surveyor get in touch with me directly.

I'm employed at a property agency in Northamptonshire, which I think has connections to the North East. They're constantly requesting comparable data, like house numbers, yet they never seem to ask for anything beyond that. Personally, I find this quite dubious and choose not to provide them with accurate details, as it feels like a rather underhanded method for them to acquire addresses for their own advertising purposes.
