These individuals are nothing but opportunists. If you have any debts that have expired legally-essentially gone cold-VL Collections will try to reach out, falsely asserting that there's still an active claim against you. They will cleverly manipulate you into accepting a payment arrangement, only to pocket all the money for themselves without informing the original creditor. We’ve had a firsthand experience with this dodgy outfit when we were employed there!

Today, we received a call that we didn't catch from VIL. The number wasn't displayed. For your reference, the number we’ve been asked to return the call to is: 02083396363.

I’d appreciate some clarity regarding this situation as I’ve been making payments to them for three months now. All the reference numbers and amounts were spot on when we first received correspondence from them via email and phone call. I was reluctant to share my banking details over the phone, so I opted to fill out a form and sent it to the bank to initiate payments. Now, I can’t shake off the nagging worry about the total sum we've handed over. On a positive note, the initial caller from the company we owed has stopped ringing, so I’m hopeful that the funds are reaching them.

We received a call from these individuals as well, and they failed to mention the purpose of their ring.

Today, we received a call from this number, but they didn’t leave a proper message, just a brief, silent voicemail. I’m not conscious of any unresolved financial obligations-definitely none that would necessitate the involvement of a debt collector. So, I’m inclined to think this is a scam.

Who exactly was that, and what on earth prompted them to give me a call?

We received a call from these folks as well, but they didn’t bother to explain the purpose of their call at all.

We recently received a letter from Vilcollections regarding a debt that we have no recollection of, as we don't possess any credit cards or loans from banks. We intend to conduct our own inquiries and will take all appropriate steps to put an end to the fraudulent activities that target honest, decent individuals like ourselves.

Today, we received a missed call from this number, accompanied by a brief, silent voicemail. I can't recall having any unresolved debts, especially not ones that would warrant the involvement of a personal debt collector. So, I'm led to believe this must be a scam.

I received a call from the same number two hours later, and when I answered, all I got was a pre-recorded message saying, 'This is an extremely important message for Mr. ***. Please press 1 to confirm your identity as Mr. ***.' If it were genuinely pressing, there’d surely be a person on the line rather than an automaton. It’s probably just another scam!

I've come across VIL Collections located at 97 Ewell Road in Surbiton, KT6 6AH. You can reach them at 020 8339 6363. If you need to contact the Collections department, their number is 0870 770 6642. By the way, this is all under the umbrella of Village Investigations Ltd, with company number 2267884. Just a note, the mail doesn’t seem to have a signature.

We received a voicemail from a Ms. Edwards, yet she didn’t return our call, as we've never had any dealings with this agency before. However, the reference number she provided corresponds with a debt we're currently settling with HSBC and Metropolitan collections. You might want to have a look at search engine VIL and explore their website; it all feels rather suspicious to us.

Could you please clarify what you’re referring to? I’m feeling quite anxious about the possibility of this being a scam. Has there been any indication that we might owe money to someone? I'm also curious if this could have any repercussions on our credit score.

Having recently been let go from Vil Collections, I can tell you firsthand that their tactics are quite aggressive, to say the least. It's not uncommon for you to receive calls from the same individual multiple times, as each employee manages their own accounts. During my brief stint there - which I now realise was a huge error - I overheard some unsettling information that would surely make anyone’s hair bristle. They really aren't afraid to play hardball when it comes to getting people to cough up what they owe.

Cheers, everyone! So, we’ve had a rather peculiar call from a woman named Miss Edwards, who insisted it was urgent for us to return her call. Well, here’s the plan: rather than humouring her, we’ve decided to get back to her in 2070. I mean, I ought to be kicking around by then, right? But honestly, we're skint at the moment and simply can’t afford to squander any more credit. This credit crunch is really taking its toll on us!

Blimey, those cheeky blighters! We got a letter from their end too. Before we decide to give them a bell, we've pieced together this chatter. So, we're definitely going to give them a ring and let them have it!

We've received a letter from Vilcollections regarding a debt that we don't acknowledge, as we have no credit cards or bank loans to speak of. I'm planning to conduct our own inquiries and will take all the appropriate steps to address this situation. We, like many others, simply wish to steer clear of any trickery and uphold our integrity.

Absolutely, here's what I reckon folks ought to do: if you've got the evidence and know you're in the right, don’t hesitate! People are actually dragging these debt collectors to court and coming out on top! The watchdog had the right of it, make sure to report them! Well done, Jerreh!
