As per the norm, I received a voicemail asking for a return call.

I’ve just found out that this number is associated with a firm named Digital Media. To my utter disbelief, I’ve been charged £43.61 for what’s supposedly an 82-minute call from my mobile. I did make a call to them, but I had no inkling I was dialling a premium rate line. In reality, I only spent about 2 minutes chatting, so how on earth did they rack it up to 82 minutes? This kind of thing has prompted me to investigate this telecommunications company further.

Today, I had a rather bothersome call from this number. The individual on the other end was aggressively promoting PPI recovery services. I swiftly interjected, indicating that I had absolutely no interest in what they were offering. As I was in the midst of requesting to be taken off their list, the person just went quiet. I attempted to engage them with a few "hellos," but was met with nothing but silence. Oddly enough, the call hadn’t disconnected, which left me quite frustrated as I couldn’t use my phone until they hung up. Once I finally regained control of my line, I did a 1471 and traced the number. To my bewilderment, it appeared to belong to a rental service, and the recorded message claimed that no business was currently operational there. Clearly, that’s not accurate! I took the liberty of leaving a message with the entity managing the line - something along the lines of The Club, though the automated message was a bit garbled. Honestly, I don't expect a callback anytime soon.
