I had a go at calling twice earlier on today, before the clock struck five, and then again at about half five. Each time, I was met with an automated voice, expressing their gratitude for the call and asking me to hold. The first wait dragged on for over seven minutes! I even had time to nip to the loo, wash my hands, head downstairs, and pop the kettle on, yet they were still not picking up. In the end, I threw in the towel and decided to sit tight until they decide to ring me back.

Earlier today, we tried to give them a bell twice, once before five o'clock and again around half past five. Each time, we were met with a rather unhelpful recorded message saying they enjoy the challenge of keeping us on hold. I ended up spending seven minutes doing various things - a quick dash to the loo, a hand wash, and even noticed I had time to put the kettle on. Yet, we still didn’t get any response! At this rate, I think I’ll just sit tight and await their call instead.
