This call is definitely legit. It’s from Expert Logistics, they use automated messages to let you know when your appliance from ao.com or other online white goods stores is arriving. Also, if you’re getting a tumble dryer replaced because of the Hotpoint safety recall, this is the same firm that’ll be in touch about the new delivery. Totally genuine, no dodgy business here.

Yep, it's AO ringing to say something's being delivered. To the landlord who doesn't want calls - maybe instead of trying to kick out your tenant, just ask them not to share your landline? If someone hands out your number by accident, there's not a lot you can do, unfortunately. It wouldnt hurt if these companies actually checked the info properly when taking orders, right?

Following on from our earlier comment, we didn't initially realise they had left us a voicemail. It turns out that the call was indeed from Expert Logistics, the distribution division of DRL Limited. They manage deliveries for their two subsidiaries, Appliances Online and Appliances Deals, as well as providing electrical products for a range of retailers. These include notable names like Amazon, Boots, Debenhams, Empire Direct, House of Fraser, Marks & Spencer, Next, Sainsbury's, and Screwfix. Quite an extensive network!

Woke up this morning to my landline ringing downstairs at 7am. It was some automated message claiming it was from AO.com, saying my appliance was due to be delivered between 7 and 11am. Problem is, I haven’t ordered any appliance, or really anything at all. My housemate buys stuff online all the time without telling me, and today he said he bought some foam headphone covers off eBay, which obviously isn’t related to AO.com... He reckons they could’ve just popped it through the letterbox, but I suspect whatever’s coming is properly packed up. Both my parents are in their late 70s and my stepdad nearly died last year, so any calls on my landline that early are usually from them. I nearly tripped downstairs rushing to answer it.
