Got this number from Dart Charge, they told me it was for the DVLA.

Honestly, I was shocked when I found out that the DVLA charges 55p a minute just to ring them. No one mentioned it beforehand, and by the end, my phone bill was £8.50! The whole call was them questioning whether I was in debt or struggling to pay bills since I'd missed a payment. Meanwhile, they were racking up that pricey per minute charge. It’s really unfair - we already pay enough for road tax, and this just feels like another sneaky way to squeeze more money out of people here in the UK.

I rang this number and realised it was the DVLA. Even though my phone plan says unlimited calls, I got charged 75p for a quick two minute chat. Seems like paying loads for road tax and insurance doesn’t cut it for them, they’ve now got a sneaky fee going on as well! Proper cheeky if you ask me.

This number kept calling me on the 26th, rang loads of times but I didn’t answer cause I didn’t recognise it. I reckon it rang around three or four times within just about an hour.

i got billed £6.03 just for a 12 minute phone call. feels like outright robbery to me. the conversation was unnecessarily prolonged without any clear reason. i’m neither elderly nor short of cash, but the dvla obviously didn’t consider that. really disgraceful of them and the government for letting this go on. i’m sure everyday people are getting fleeced by these numbers all the time, but coming from a government agency, it just shows that they’re more interested in lining their pockets than looking out for the folks who work for them.
