this number has messaged me before saying ive got a voicemail. i dont know who it is so ive just left it.

Got a text saying there was a message left and to check it, but when I looked there was nothing there. Bit confusing really.

i do night shifts and these calls keep disturbing my sleep. i cant just turn my phone off since i have a very sick family member. blocking their number doesnt solve anything cause they just call from another one.

I get calls from these lot every single day, sometimes even more than once. It's baffling why my network provider doesn't just block these scam numbers for us. They must know who is behind these calls and honestly, I reckon they’re just as responsible for letting them keep ringing.

Got a text with just 4 digits from this number. If it was Vodafone, they wouldn’t just send some random code out of the blue. Plus, since the phone’s provided by my work, they wouldn’t be getting in touch with me like this anyways. Seems like an obvious scam to me, best not to respond. But if anyone does talk to the person behind this number, they might as well mess with them a bit back.

got a message from this number saying they were from vodafone collections and threatened to shut off my account over unpaid bills. i use a work phone so i’m not entirely sure if it’s legit, but i am with vodafone. not bothering to reply or ring back, just reporting it here and the other number too cos it seems really suspicious. if my vodafone service gets disconnected monday, then i guess it’s for real!

Every day I get this recorded call, couldn’t really figure out what it’s about. It’s quite annoying cause the message comes through on my landline then gets forwarded to my mobile. Tried blocking the number but somehow they still manage to ring.

Not sure who this is but my bill says I called them twice on 1st Jan - pretty sure I didn’t make those calls though.

I've got a vodafone direct debit set up from 11/07/2008 and the number 08700 700 191 is shown as their customer services. I've never actually called it so no clue if it's still working or not.

How peculiar! My mobile, which is on Vodafone, just suddenly dialled this number out of the blue! I ended the call straight away, but I'm quite baffled as to how and why it managed to ring without me actually initiating it. Quite the mystery, innit?

I got a call from someone who sounded like they were chinese, i went and muted them but they just kept saying hello hello over and over. When i tried to call back, the number showed up as unknown.

Received one of those pesky spam texts: "Vodafone Alert: To maintain your mobile service, the account holder needs to get in touch with Vodafone on 08700 779 779 by 10am tomorrow." I took a peek at our online account, and everything seemed spot on. Total scam, if you ask me!

I received seven text messages that appeared to be linked to an order from Vodafone, which included a reference number. However, the postcode mentioned doesn't seem to match the standard UK format at all. We haven’t called the number provided in the message as of yet, but we've lodged a report with Vodafone about this, suspecting it could be a scam.

The number 08700700191 belongs to Vodafone's customer support, and it also appears to be an Irish mobile number.

I’m so glad we didn’t heed the warnings from some of the critics here. We received a message from this number alerting us that our details had been altered. Initially, we were quite sceptical and thought it was nonsense, but we opted to call 191 for reassurance. It turns out that someone had indeed contacted Vodafone, trying to modify our address, which led to our account being temporarily frozen while they look into the fraudulent activity. So, it seems this number is on the up and up. Nonetheless, I would strongly recommend giving 191 a bell just to be safe!

I'm being constantly pestered by someone who just won't quit with the calls and messages. Does anyone know who this annoying person might be?

I've received multiple voice messages encouraging me to call this number.

I recently had a chat with Vodafone to address a few bits and bobs on our account, and shortly after, I received a somewhat dubious text labelled "2008." It claimed that a Vodafone order was on its way via Royal Mail to an address and postcode that bear no relation to mine whatsoever. The peculiar thing is, I haven’t made any purchases with them! This certainly feels a bit fishy, doesn’t it? Could this be some sort of ploy to entice me into making a call or sending a text, all so they can rake in some cash? Quite cheeky, I must say.

What on earth was that all about? We've received calls from this number twice now. We even tried giving it a ring ourselves, but there was never any response. This can't be a good sign, can it?
