We've been receiving messages from this number, and the only apparent way to opt-out seems to be by replying with 'stop', which curiously comes at a cost of £1.50. We've taken the step of reporting this to Ofcom and are now in the process of awaiting their feedback.

Earlier today, we received a couple of messages totaling 85,200 from lottobytext. It all kicked off with a "freemsg" notification reading, "All no. 08708697." After replying with "quit," I was still met with another message that stated, "freemsg> your request has been confirmed: There's life in this shelter cell no. we 't is still some thing else." Has anyone experienced when these SMS messages ceased to be effective with this?

I replied with 'STOP', and so far, I've only received one reply, stating: 'freemsg> request confirmed: There are no active services for this cell number.' Since then, I've not had anything else come through. Is there anyone who knows if the SMS opt-out works in this case?
