This number rang me twice. After I said I wasn’t interested, it called again from 0800044220 about 8 times and started shouting abuse at me and my parents. It got really nasty and even said they were connected to al-qaeda. Then, they used a mobile, 07424922577, to ring a couple more times, asking my mum if she was some sort of call girl. While these last three calls were happening, I was on the phone to the police reporting everything, and it’s currently under investigation.

Right after I put my car ad on Gumtree, this number called me almost immediately. Then, not long after, they rang again using 01515284699. Definitely feels like a scam to me.

I put up an ad on Gumtree for my car and straight away got a call from some bloke with a heavily accented voice from the subcontinent. He was quite pushy, but I decided to mess with him for a bit. Told him some ridiculous story about a crash where I had like 15 people injured in my car while trying to break a record for how many you can squeeze inside it. Let me tell you, not everyone found it very funny!

I saw a missed call from this number and then got a couple more calls from a Liverpool landline, followed by a couple from different mobiles. Figured it was probably some kind of scam so didn’t pick up. All this kicked off right after I put my car for sale on Gumtree.

I put up an ad on Gumtree and got a call almost immediately. The person told me I’d been in a car crash and kept asking me to take down my number. I ended up getting about 130 calls back to back, but every time I answered, they just hung up. Eventually had to block the number.

Just after I put my car up for sale on Gumtree, I got a call from some foreign guy. He kept going on about an accident I supposedly had three years ago. When I said I wasn't interested, he rang me back straight away from the same number. At first, the caller ID just showed "unknown".
