I received a remarkably similar email on the 29th of January, 2016. It contained identical wording regarding a £40.00 top-up via PayPal. The peculiar thing is, I've never dabbled in PayPal nor ever set up an account with them. Quite odd, really!

Beware of clicking on the link; this website is definitely not legitimate. Earlier today, the 28th of January, 2016, I received an email purporting to be from Tesco Mobile, which listed the number above as a contact. It claimed that I had made a £40.00 top-up order via PayPal. However, I’d like to clarify that I have never made such an order, nor do I have any affiliation with PayPal as far as I know; I don’t even possess an account. The email then goes on to provide instructions for a refund, instructing me to click on a link.
