Similar to some, I started filling out a land registry form online but never finished it. Then I got a call and got a bit wary because the person on the phone was really persistent.

Got two calls from them claiming i’d applied for a national insurance number when i definitely hadn’t. They kept insisting it was me because they have my info. I told them straight up this is identity theft and i never applied. The bloke wouldn’t budge, saying what good would it do someone to use your NI. It’s clearly dodgy, i’ve had a NI number for over 30 years.

Just like a few other people, I almost got caught out by a dodgy Land Registry site pretending to be legit. Caught on before I paid though and ended up on the actual HMLR page. Didn’t pick up when they rang, but sounds about right what others have said - scammy folks trying to make you sign up with them.

I received a call from this number, claiming to represent the Land Registry. They attempted to swindle £27 from my bank account, insisting that I pay for a service I had already received. The caller made it sound urgent, saying that I wouldn’t be able to access the service unless I handed over the cash immediately. She was incredibly pushy throughout the conversation! I see she’s planning to ring me again on Monday-should be quite the spectacle!

+448458743651 is a complete scam! I rang them yesterday because I was helping my mum apply for her national insurance number, and they told me it would cost £60. Apparently, you now HAVE to pay for a national insurance number?! What a load of rubbish! They even tried to squeeze another £38 out of me for a plastic national insurance card! It's beyond outrageous, as getting a national insurance number is supposed to be free! These people are utterly dreadful and should be ashamed of themselves!

She said she was from the ‘online land registry’, sounded like she had an accent, maybe Chinese or something alike. She knew my name and asked about a recent property update online, but the address I gave didn’t match what she expected. Then she said she’d send me an email about the application details - but I haven’t made any recent application. Felt really fishy. I tried ringing back to check if someone might be using my info, but got told the number’s not listed. Honestly, pretty creepy and not a nice experience at all.

I searched for iqnd registry and saw this one pop up, but then noticed it wasn't an official hm site so chose not to use it. It did give a warning though. Then the phone rang, someone claiming to be from land registry asked for my name which they already knew. I said I’d check with hm directly, and they hung up right away. Definitely won’t be dealing with them.
