CLAIMING TO BE TSB - this phone number is definitely NOT from TSB. I had just arranged a new payment, and then this number called me immediately after - which you’d naturally assume to be TSB. But my phone showed it as a number from VIETNAM. I didn’t pick up once I saw that, and soon after the real TSB number called to confirm my payment. I’m not sure how this scam works, but someone more vulnerable or less aware could easily fall for it. I’m really glad my phone tells me where calls come from, so it showed right on the screen. REALLY ODD AND SUSPICIOUS!

Got voicemails with no ringing, they don’t say who’s calling, just telling me to enter my pin for some online account? I never signed up for anything like that. Then it asks for the pin again, and tells you to press star if you weren’t expecting the call. Definitely a scam trying to fish for phone numbers and info. At first I was getting over 10 calls a day, so I blocked them, but now I only get silent voicemails. Can’t block those, and it’s really annoying, even dangerous if someone more fragile got caught up in it.

If youre with tsb, this number rings you to check something you’re doing on their app (like adding a payee or setting up a dd). They’ll ask you to enter a code that shows up on your banking app screen. Loads of folks think its a scam call but really it’s for your security. Got a call from what seemed like a car company about my online bank, they said to transfer money to someone else’s account they’d call. This number has been ringing my 93 year old mum in law at least 8 times within 20 minutes. It's supposed to be from T.S.B Bank, but they say they’ve now taken it off their system. I told them that if they keep calling her, I’ll have to sort it out myself because it’s really not on. I followed the instructions given by the automated system, including confirming that my wife will be available later.
