I had saved this number under "bank" in my contacts, but it’s linked to a Facebook account showing a guy named Luke Bowman. Don’t know who this person is, seems a bit dodgy to me!

I received a phone call on Thursday, 3rd September 2017, from someone purporting to be a representative of my bank, NatWest. Coincidentally, I had also gotten a text message that contained a code. Simultaneously, I had the mobile banking application on my phone. The moment I picked up the call, they managed to get into my accounts, draining them entirely and setting up a direct debit that’s left me with a £1000 overdraft. They siphoned off over £800 from my account. The fraud team at NatWest is now investigating the matter, but until it's resolved, I’m left without access to any of my funds or accounts. Please exercise caution!

I called NatWest to ask about a cheque that had been taken from my account for way more than the amount shown. They owned up to it being their mistake and gave me my money back. This number has appeared on my bill saying I called it for 12 minutes, but I never did. Now they're asking me to pay £30 for that call. I've gone through all my call records and there's no trace of any 0845 calls except one I got which only lasted about 12 seconds before I cut off when I spotted it was a PPI nuisance (and that was a totally different number anyway).
