Google provided the number for our local Post Office. I called them to inquire about their travel money services, hoping to avoid a pointless trip. Unfortunately, I was charged £2.75 (including VAT) for making three calls on my O2 mobile. The answering machine prompts kept me on hold, waiting endlessly for the "anything else" option that never came. It would have been much more cost-effective and environmentally friendly to just drive there and pay for petrol. This whole situation feels like a blatant and deceitful rip-off. It's no wonder that privatized Royal Mail bosses receive exorbitant bonuses.

I rarely use my mobile phone to make calls because I find the volume to be inadequate. Instead, I prefer to use WhatsApp and email. However, I received a message from O2 stating that I had dialed a Premium number by mistake. After investigating, I discovered that it was the Royal Mail/PO number, but fortunately, it only cost me 48p. I must have accidentally dialed the number while I was searching for the local Post Office's opening hours on my mobile phone.

We reckon it’s a dodgy number. It seems to be set up for reverse charge calls. One of our lad’s mates must have used it to call or text him, and now they’ve dinged our son’s account for 80 pence. What a rip-off!
