Just had a call and decided to check it out by calling 1471. The number that popped up was 08456088661. To my annoyance, the message prompted me to ring back on 02084751209, claiming to be from the DWP and searching for a Mr Moore. What a nuisance! There's definitely no one by that name at this address.

I recently received a call from someone who claimed to be with the DWP, but he had a thick accent and was almost impossible to understand. When I asked for someone who could speak proper English, he flat-out refused and just kept mumbling. In the heat of the moment, I told him to shove off! Afterwards, I dialled 1471 and found the number was 08456088661, but it seems like that line is disconnected now. I also gave a go at the 02084751209 number listed here, but that one didn’t ring through either. It's safe to say this is a blatant scam. If you happen to get a call from these chancers, steer clear and don’t divulge a thing!
