We received a phone number linked to correspondence from the Central Committee of the joint venture. It appears these individuals already possess our credit card details, which is all that was asked of us, making this seem rather genuine. (Just a few weeks back, there was a concerning alert about this.)

I can vouch for this. It’s a call from the security team of Post Office credit cards. More than likely, they’re reaching out due to some suspicious activity on your account. Just a heads up, Post Office credit cards were under the management of Bank of Ireland, which is why a lot of the staff you speak to might have that lovely Irish lilt in their voice.

Received a message from an Irish chap who appeared to be seeking some sort of call back, referencing cc, pulse, and security. It was all rather peculiar. Then an automated female voice with an Irish accent chimed in, apologising for the wait, only to have us hanging in limbo. Quite dodgy, if you ask me...

I can confirm that this call was authentic. It originated from the security team of Post Office credit cards, likely concerning some unusual transactions on the account. Just a heads up, as the Post Office credit card services were under the management of Bank of Ireland, you'll find that many of the staff have distinct Irish accents when they reach out.

We received the number alongside an email containing the purchase order in copy. It appears these individuals previously obtained our credit card details, and essentially, that was the sole thing she asked for. So, it seems quite plausible, to be honest. (There had been a warning flagged a few weeks prior, mind you.)
