I rang this number as per the guidance of the automated line from Scottish Power, and was utterly taken aback to find I'd been charged more than £7 for just two calls! It's quite outrageous, especially when I was seeking assistance for emergency funds!

Similar to the previous comments, I had an unexpected visitor turn up at my doorstep without any warning. I called Scottish Power for assistance, and they suggested I reach out to National Grid. Quite frankly, I'm appalled by both Scottish Power and National Grid. They were absolutely no help in identifying who had knocked at my door uninvited, and to top it off, I’ve now got an unwelcome charge on my phone bill!

I've noticed a couple of detailed charges on my landline bill, and it turns out they’re linked to this particular number. Oddly enough, I can't seem to locate it in my contacts list at all.

Someone knocked on my door today claiming they were here to swap the "imperial" gas meter. There was no prior notification or letter, just an unexpected visit. They left behind a rather professional-looking card from National Grid Metering Ltd with the phone number mentioned above. The police appear to view this as a genuine operation. However, it will take more than just a friendly face and the reassurance that this can occur on a Saturday for me to feel comfortable letting them in. This happened in Newcastle upon Tyne NE5.
