I rang this number because Scottish Power’s automated message told me to, but then I ended up with a bill of over £7 for just two calls! It’s really awful, especially since I was trying to sort out emergency support. Proper disgraceful.

Got a surprise visit from someone I wasn't expecting, so I rang up Scottish Power to find out what was going on. They just told me to get in touch with National Grid instead. I was seriously annoyed with both companies as they couldn’t tell me who showed up out of the blue. To make matters worse, I ended up with an extra charge on my phone bill because of it. Totally useless experience all round.

My landline bill showed a couple of weird charges, and when I checked, they came from this number. Problem is, I don’t recognise it and it’s not saved in any of my contacts.

Someone came round to my house to switch out the 'imperial' gas meter without any prior warning or letter. They handed me a nicely made card from National Grid Metering Ltd showing that phone number. When I called the police, they said it's probably a genuine thing. Still, just smiling and saying they can do it on a Saturday isn’t enough to make me let them in. I’m in Newcastle upon Tyne NE5.
