This led them to request confirmation of my phone number and address, to which I firmly replied ‘NO’. The caller’s tone shifted to one of irritation and aggression, but I maintained my composure and decided to have a little fun, probing them about their employer and why their office number wasn't displayed on the caller ID. That only seemed to rile him further, and he questioned who I was, but I merely pointed out that he was the one who had made the call. Unsurprisingly, he hung up rather abruptly. Given that I've little else on my plate, I've taken to answering the multitude of calls from this lot, which can come in twos on some days. On occasion, they even ring me twice within a quarter of an hour. I’ve taken to engaging them in lengthy chats, which some may see as a bit sad, but it does contribute to their phone bill - a small pleasure when one has time to kill. On their most recent call on 5th January 2014, while I was home, I repeated my usual refrain that Mr W doesn’t reside with me. This time, the caller promised to take my number off their list, just as they've assured me previously. I'm rather curious to see if they actually do call back tomorrow. Fortunately, I've now acquired a BT 6500 phone that offers call blocking at my discretion. So, should they choose to ignore my request and my patience wears thin, I shall add them to my Blocked Numbers List.

For the past few months, I've been getting calls from this number repeatedly. Every time I pick up, they seem to just cut off the line. Quite baffling, really!

I received a call at 8 in the morning from this number, and an individual on the other end wanted to discuss matters with someone I didn’t recognise. They insisted I verify my name and address, and when I hesitated, they rapidly grew rather confrontational.
