Received a rather similar call earlier today; the caller failed to mention any bank name, so we decided to just dismiss the message entirely.

I received a letter addressed to us, but they spelt our name incorrectly. It contained a card from the Bank of Scotland, stating that someone from their team would be calling our home on the 9th of May, and if that wasn’t a suitable time, we should ring 08456044133. Curious about what this was all about, we decided to call that number outside of business hours, only to be greeted by a recorded message saying, "Thanks for reaching out to Retail Bank Collections." The thing is, we don’t even hold an account with Bank of Scotland!

Received some rather ambiguous messages that seemed to be related to this issue, but all they provided was a reference to a contact number and the bank details. No additional information whatsoever. Quite frustrating, really!

The message I received was rather unclear, simply mentioning that it was regarding a banking issue and included a reference number. Unfortunately, no further details were provided.

I received a phone call around 10am on Saturday, but the number was withheld. They left a voicemail claiming to be from a private banking service and asked me to return the call with a reference number. However, they didn't disclose which bank they represented or provide any real context about the nature of the call. To add to the confusion, they mentioned that their lines are open Monday to Friday from nine to five, yet they chose to ring me on a Saturday morning. Quite baffling, if you ask me!
