I find it hard to believe this is legitimate. We only possess a flexaccount with Nationwide, and it’s simply not possible to be in any debt with them. Typically, banks will contact you directly when these sorts of inquiries arise. We have no intention of responding to them.

It sounds to me like you ought to give them a bell, as it seems you're behind on a payment for some account-be it with them or perhaps someone who had your number or resided at your address previously. Upon receiving a default notice, we intend to file a formal complaint and pursue legal action! In this day and age, when phone and online scams are rampant, there's absolutely no chance we’d remain on the line or hit any buttons to proceed! It’s utterly disgraceful that these organisations resort to a recorded service to hound individuals. We wish to engage with a person, not some automated system. Whoever thought it was a wise idea to handle financial discussions through pre-recorded messages really must be lacking in common sense!

They claim to be from Nationwide Collections, and if you hit the buttons as instructed, it connects you to their headquarters in Swindon. Yet, lo and behold, these individuals assert that there's no one available to assist, given that the people they're looking for have simply disappeared. It's beyond frustrating, and I’m thoroughly fed up with the whole ordeal. I've even got myself on the x-list!

I’ve been receiving calls from this number for the last three evenings, starting at 5 o'clock. Last night, they were still ringing us at half past nine, which prompted us to unplug the phone entirely. It’s quite inconvenient, especially when family might need to get in touch in case of an emergency.
