I've come across a genuine department that you can easily find on the Halifax and Bank of Scotland websites, specifically in the managing your money section. Interestingly, this department recently snagged an award for being the most responsible lender at today’s credit awards! If that's a scam, then why are they acknowledged by the Financial Services Authority? I must say, it's a bit disappointing, folks. As I sifted through today’s pile of junk mail, I came across a letter from Halifax, complete with the same phone number and reference number as the one that rang us. We're still hesitant to give them a bell, though. It seems like they might be attempting to rebuild customer trust after all the negative press they've had lately. Maybe it's just me, but it does seem a touch ironic considering how they're shelling out millions in retirement bonuses and wage hikes! A little help with everyday banking matters would certainly be more appreciated!
