The atmosphere in the background suggested a call centre environment. They inquired for the owner of the business, and I mentioned they weren’t in at the moment (the typical excuse, really). I asked if they could leave a message, but they insisted that wasn’t possible and claimed there was a problem with the phone line. After a bit of back and forth, they passed me a number to ring back. From what I've gathered from other comments, it appears to be a telecoms firm attempting to entice you into breaking your contract.

Claimed to be from Openreach, attempting to persuade me to switch services, and then wanted to pass me along to another representative. I hung up, but shortly after, my phone buzzed again from that same number. Quite a nuisance, if I'm honest!
