The noise in the background made it sound like they were sitting in some call centre. They wanted to speak to the owner of the business, but I said they weren't available (the standard excuse) and asked if they could leave a message. They said no, that I had a problem with my phone line instead. After a bit of back and forth, they finally gave me a number to ring back. From what I’ve seen in other comments here, it looks like a phone company trying to trick you into cancelling your contract.

Someone called saying they were from Openreach and wanted me to switch providers. They then tried to pass me on to another person, but I just hung up. After that, the same number kept ringing me back. Just a hassle, really...
