For more than a week now, Action Direct keep rangin' me, but I never pick up 'cause I heard they usually don’t say anything. I just called this number and spoke to a bloke. I told him if they don’t quit ringing me and leaving silent messages, I’m going to take legal action against their company for harassment. He tried to say they don’t call at night or early in the morning, but that’s total rubbish. I told him there’s hundreds of people complaining, like 500 or more, and we’re all ready to sue. Throughout today, I got about 8 calls from the same number, coming in roughly every 15 minutes. Luckily, we have BT’s advanced call blocking set up, so after a while, the phone stopped ringing once we blocked it. The calls seemed totally automated - they never left a message or even tried the answerphone before we blocked them. Our call guardian didn’t pick up any name, so there was no chance to decide if we wanted to take the call. It's really frustrating, especially since we’re signed up to BT Privacy and the Telephone Preference Service. I’m definitely going to report this number to the Data Commissioner, though I’m not expecting much to come of it. Honestly, this sort of relentless calling is beyond annoying. Of around 20 calls we had today, 15 were from withheld numbers.
