Got a voicemail about some tax fraud alert, sounded totally dodgy so I just blocked the number straight away. Feels like a classic scam to me.

That number’s dodgy for sure. I’ve had enough of those scammers trying to fool me. Whenever it rings, I just let it go to voicemail. Honestly, I’m blocking it again - this’ll be the 17th time by now! Don’t pick up if you see it, it’s not worth the hassle.

Got a call from an automated voice saying something about Inland Revenue. Didn’t catch the whole message, but I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number just in case.

They told me I had a case number and to quote it when I called them back, said if I didn’t they’d take me to court and my NI number could be suspended. When I looked up the case number online it wasn’t even real. They said it was my final warning. Luckily I came across this website that confirmed it was a scam. It really scared me at first.

Got a robotic voice telling me I’m in trouble with tax evasion and to ring a certain number. They ended saying "have a blessed day" which kinda ruined the vibe, so I looked it up here. Turns out that number's linked to some government email phishing scam. Good job I’ve blocked unknown numbers - that was my 67th dodgy call this November already. Must be a proper full-time gig for these scumbags.

I don’t usually pick up when I don’t recognise the number calling. If it's someone who really wants to get in touch, they could at least leave a voicemail but they never do! So frustrating.
