Has anyone got a clue about the owner of this number? We're getting a couple of rings a day from it, but we’ve chosen to ignore the calls.

So, this evening I got a ring from this number, and the person claimed to be from EE. She said something like, “Just a quick check on your account.” I went along with it, saying okay. Then she told me she needed to verify some security details. When she asked me to confirm my landline, I was like, “If you’re from EE, you should already know that.” Then she switched to asking for my mobile number, but I repeated the same thing. She then suggested ending the call if I wasn’t comfortable. I said alright and quickly hung up!

From what I gather, this number is linked to EE. I hardly ever pick up on my phone and I definitely don’t wanna waste my minutes just listening to my voicemail. I already fork out loads to EE, why should I have to pay for unwanted calls too? It’s frustrating because real people trying to leave me important messages can't get through if EE keeps blocking the line and still charges me for it.

Allegedly, it’s a call from EE, and they’re meant to ring back. I find it quite puzzling that they can't just leave a voice message to clarify what it’s all about.

It’s the same time every day they call, but for some reason, they never bother to leave a voicemail. Makes no sense at all.

Lately, I keep getting calls from these numbers. If I let it ring out, they drop a message that's barely even there. But when I pick up, there's just silence - no one at all. Pretty strange and really annoying.

I rang the number and found out it’s EE trying to get in touch. They said they’d ring me again but I don’t understand why they didn’t just leave a voicemail to say what it’s about.
