Has anyone got a clue about the owner of this number? We're getting a couple of rings a day from it, but we’ve chosen to ignore the calls.

This evening, I received a call from this number, and the caller identified herself as being from EE. When she mentioned it was just a courtesy call regarding my account, I replied, "Alright then." She proceeded to say she needed to verify some security details with me. I responded affirmatively, and she requested my home phone number. I told her, “If you’re contacting me about my EE account, surely you already possess that information.” She then suggested confirming my mobile number instead. I reiterated, “If you are indeed from EE, you ought to have that detail at hand as well.” It was clear she was getting a bit flustered, and she offered to end the call if I wasn’t willing to provide any information. I thought it best to just say, “Fine then,” before hanging up. What an odd experience!
