I see that you've got two different renditions of the number here. Could you clarify which one is the accurate one?

What a shambles of a service! They’ve made quite the habit of shirking their obligations and offering flimsy justifications at every turn. Despite receiving solid advice from Citizens Advice and several other sources, it seems they’re only interested in dodging accountability. Just recently, after what feels like an eternity of dealing with them, I received a rather alarming call. They had the audacity to threaten me with further deductions from my account, claiming I’d used their service, even though the phone blocker failed spectacularly and I had sent it back. Their rationale? A supposed breach of contract due to delays over the festive period, compounded by some unfortunate incident at their premises. Utterly ridiculous!

I received a rather curious phone call today from a chap named John Sinclair, who claimed to be representing the Call Prevention Service and gave me the number 0845 474 9636. He proceeded to ask for my bank account details, insisting that this was the way to halt all those pesky nuisance calls. He mentioned that his superior was an individual called Sam, who subsequently rang me as well. Could this be some sort of scam?

I just received a rather lengthy call from someone named Kevin? He rambled on incessantly, then suddenly brought up the fee. I mentioned my situation, explaining that I’m currently not employed and rely on benefits. Strangely enough, he just said, “Right, cheerio then.” It’s all rather fishy to me-definitely feels like a scam!

I fell victim to a scam recently, and it's quite disheartening. They called me about a box that supposedly cost £79, and to my shock, they even mentioned my password number! They claimed that the payment would be charged to my phone bill, which is absolutely ridiculous since I’m with SKY. After that, they just cut off the call. It’s really frustrating to deal with such deceit.

Last year, I made the mistake of shelling out £79.99, and today I received a call informing me that my next payment of £89.99 is on the horizon. They were touting a 'special offer' where they’d send me a new box, and despite being locked into another four years, they claimed no further fees would be incurred as a valued customer. I firmly told the lady on the line that the box has been nothing but a letdown from the start, even after reporting the issues repeatedly and receiving multiple cables in a futile attempt to get it going - it was completely ineffective. I promptly reached out to my bank to halt any further payments to this company, and they assured me that should a payment go through, it would be refunded within 24 hours, and the company would face a chargeback.

Hello there, I've found the findings to be spot on! It seems these fraudsters operate from various locations in and around Bournemouth, adopting a slew of aliases such as The Call Prevention Service and Pro Call Blocker, among others. Quite the crafty bunch, aren't they?

I received a phone call from a number that turned out to be 0845 474 9636. The individuals claimed to represent the "do not call register." However, as I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS), I found it rather odd when the caller insisted that I wasn't listed and that he would take the liberty of adding me into their system. He rambled on about some technical specifics about a contraption, which frankly sounded dubious based on what I understand about telecoms. To make matters worse, he had my address and mentioned sending me this device, followed by a request for payment. I firmly told him I wasn’t interested and that he shouldn't proceed with sending anything. The caller then suddenly cut the call. This has all the hallmarks of a scam, especially given that he mentioned it was a government-approved initiative. Cheers, Tim

Bizarrely persistent cold call! I received a rather irritating sales pitch from a young lady who went on about how bothersome sales calls are. She mentioned that CPS could sort me out with a call blocker for just a quid in postage, but since they donate quite a bit to charities focused on cancer, they were hoping I’d agree to a three-year commitment costing £79, or alternatively £1.99 a month via direct debit. When she asked for my details, I pointed out that I belonged to the Staffordshire Trading Standards Watchdog Group and that I’d be reporting this call along with their service to the Trading Standards team. At that, she abruptly asked if I wasn’t interested, and the line went dead. Cheers, Tony From Staffordshire

I recently received a phone call from this number, and the person on the line claimed they had a solution to eliminate unwanted calls. They were asking for a one-time fee of £79. When I expressed my reluctance to share my card details over the phone and mentioned I'd like to verify their company first, they abruptly ended the call! I'm really relieved that I didn't disclose any of my banking information.

I recently received a phone call from this number, and I went along with the conversation at first. When he inquired about my preferred payment method, I mentioned that I didn’t have my card handy, as I wanted to do a bit of digging into the situation first. That's when he informed me that he couldn't proceed further. The chap introduced himself as James, and his extension was 180. I’m really glad I decided to investigate!

Oh goodness, I must express my disappointment regarding http://www.stopcomm.com/ and the Pro Call Blocker they provided, which has been nothing short of a disaster. They never pick up the phone, and if the voicemail system is functioning, they entirely ignore the messages left behind. I’m currently in the midst of lodging a complaint with Kent Trading Standards against Stop-Box, located at 49 -51 Seabourne Road, Bournemouth, BH1 1BL. Their contact number is 0845 474 9636. I'm really hoping they’ll take action akin to dealing with those pesky saltwater crocodiles. In the meantime, I strongly advise steering clear of Stop Comm altogether. I regret if I inadvertently raised anyone’s expectations.

I must admit, I've had a change of heart and will gladly retract my previous grievances. The items I ordered have arrived and are functioning perfectly well. Aside from the slightly delayed response from Stop Call Ltd, I’ve got no issues to report whatsoever.

Yet another unsuspecting soul forked out £80 - here’s hoping they’re off somewhere sunny, perhaps crossing paths with a famished saltwater croc! As for me, I got a call from a chap named Danny on extension 472 earlier today, but it seems he’s playing hard to get now as I can’t get hold of him.

I bit the bullet and got caught up in a scam. After countless calls to them, I'm still twiddling my thumbs, waiting for my refund. I rang again on Monday, and the lass I spoke to assured me she'd sort it out immediately. It’s been a right faff since June 12th, so fair warning to everyone - these chaps really ought to be reported to trading standards, which I’ll be doing in due course.

I too had a rather dodgy call from someone named Aaron, who claimed that all my pesky calls would cease in a mere 28 days. Strangely, he also mentioned the name of my bank and even shared the first four digits of my debit card. Be cautious regarding this so-called company, CPS, which appears to be a complete fabrication. It's astonishing how bits of your card information can be readily acquired from online data sources. Whatever you do, don’t provide them with any additional details-they can't access your account with just those four digits! It’s wise to report their antics.

I spoke with a chap named John at extension 147, who assured me that he could eliminate all those pesky nuisance calls within a month, but only if I paid a subscription. He wanted my bank details to get started. Unsurprisingly, I was hesitant to share that info and wrapped up the conversation.
