SCAM ALERT! I got a call from two people working together. First, a bloke said he was a Bailiff coming right away to collect money. Then he told me to ring the court to pause things for 14 days. When I called the number he gave, a woman said she was from the court and said she could connect me to someone to make a smaller payment to delay things for 28 days. Turns out, it wasn’t the real Northampton Court number - just look it up on Google. They keep pushing that they’re coming to take money very soon unless you pay up, in my case even claiming the police would back them. Sounds quite real, but DO NOT send them any money! Just ring 101 and tell the police what’s going on, so you have at least reported it. And if anyone actually shows up with the police, ring the number on the officers’ badge to be sure - although I doubt they’ll come anyway.
