Rather than dismissing it outright, I decided to ring them back and inquire about their identity. A courteous chap answered and informed me that he represented a firm involved in distributing government grants. He mentioned that since the 'scheme' was nearing its conclusion, I shouldn’t expect any further calls. I can't believe I got roped into this!
