There's been quite the nuisance lately with individuals persistently inquiring after our 17-year-old son, always using the term 'miss' before his name. It's honestly becoming rather irksome, to say the least!

It seems like this is just a ploy to get your cash back. They hand you a different number to ring in order to remove yourself from their calling list. Quite the shady tactic, if you ask me!

Initially, I noticed that this number was flagged as an international call. Since obtaining a new BT phone that blocks international numbers, they’ve resorted to using this alternative number to get through. For nearly a year now, I’ve been inundated with calls from the same persistent lot. Signing up for the Telephone Preference Service has done absolutely nothing to deter them. Despite my repeated requests to have my details removed from their list, they persistently call back multiple times on the same day. The calls come relentlessly, from the crack of dawn at 4am right through until 11pm, with them consistently inquiring for a certain Mr White. When I cheekily claimed to be Mr White myself, they had the audacity to say they were from a funeral directors! It’s become utterly ludicrous now, and something really must be done to address their underhanded tactics!

So, this number rang my home phone, and as soon as I answered, I just set the receiver down next to the radio. You wouldn’t believe how much this seemed to rile them! They rang back five more times, only to receive the same radio treatment each round... In the end, they threw in the towel. Just a cheeky little suggestion for anyone dealing with nuisance calls!
