Received a call from this number, yet I chose to overlook it as I got another call this afternoon from 02920 190900, which this site also claims is a Cardiff number. The moment I answered, all I could hear was someone cackling. Quite peculiar, if you ask me!

Gave us a bell on Saturday, 13th February 2011, around 11 in the morning. We answered with a "hello?" and got a "hello?" in return. This back-and-forth carried on a few times before we decided to hang up. It seemed like either she couldn't hear us properly, or was just having a laugh at our expense.

I received a call from this number earlier today, purporting to be from SKY. They asked for a few initial details: my name, the first line of my address, and my postcode. Then, shockingly, they asked for my SKY PIN. Why on earth would SKY need my PIN? I made it clear that I wasn’t going to divulge that information. They went on to claim they didn’t have much info about my account and needed to update it. I retorted that I was quite glad they had limited information since it meant they didn’t require any more from me! The call abruptly ended after that. If this is indeed a legitimate customer service call from SKY, they clearly require a lesson in both customer interaction and safeguarding information. However, I have serious doubts and feel it's more likely a ruse to extract personal details. My suggestion? Insist they send any offers or requests through the post!

I recently returned a call to this number, and it turned out to be a marketing line for Sky. They mentioned that if you're looking to cancel your service, they take your details to process it. I certainly wouldn't have assumed this call was from Sky! They phoned me and got my wife's name completely wrong. It seems rather suspicious, especially when they're trying to entice me with offers for free HD. He claimed to be calling from Sky, specifically from Cardiff, and then went on to ask for our address. We told him we weren’t comfortable disclosing that information since they were the ones reaching out to us. Honestly, he didn’t come across as genuine at all.

I can confirm this is nothing more than a scam. They’ve been attempting to peddle insurance to a person in our home who hasn’t had a Sky subscription for more than a decade! When we reached out to genuine Sky customer service, they explicitly informed us that these callers are not affiliated with them and advised against engaging with them. Despite my repeated requests for them to cease their daily calls - which occur around three times a day - they persist. I’m seriously contemplating lodging a harassment complaint against them. Sky has even advised others who’ve contacted their legitimate number to involve the police regarding this matter. So please, do yourself a favour and steer clear of this number!

We weren't available when these folks called, and they mentioned they’d get back to us in an hour, which they did. However, when we answered the phone, there was utter silence on the other end. We checked the number using 1471 and discovered it was a premium rate line. It seems like Sky might be using third-party agents, and honestly, it feels suspiciously like a scam involving premium numbers.

Absolutely fed up with this! The phone rings, I pick up, then there's this awkward silence before they just hang up-so infuriating! I'm really irritated with the barrage of calls from these insurance firms trying to sell me coverage for my Sky box. "Oh, it's out of warranty, sir; what will you do if it breaks down?" Well, I'll tell you what I'm going to do-I'll be getting rid of Sky, that's what!
