We've been receiving persistent calls from this number on both our home phone and mobiles. Every time we pick up, they hang up right away. When we tried to return the call, it turned out to be some automated message from a collections agency regarding an Egg account, which we certainly don’t have!

I've been receiving continuous calls from this number, only to be met with a dial tone as soon as I answer. Thankfully, thanks to this site, I've realised this belongs to the Egg credit card company, which apparently decided to transform nearly 100,000 of its UK customers' credit card agreements into harsh loan arrangements, complete with hefty interest rates, seemingly overnight and without any prior notification. All this, merely because there wasn't enough activity on the accounts. Crazy, isn't it?

I've been getting frequent calls from numbers 08453665601 and 08453665603, and it's becoming quite a nuisance. They seem to ring non-stop from around half eight in the morning until seven in the evening! Whenever I pick up, there's either a hang-up on their end, or a rather irritating pause before a voice comes on, almost like it's all been pre-recorded. It appears to be a computer-generated call that connects to an operator once it detects my voice saying “hello.” Honestly, it’s rather frustrating dealing with these inconsiderate callers who don’t seem to have the slightest bit of courtesy.

Once I finally managed to speak to someone, I was told that they had no record of my number in their database. However, they assured me it would be removed regardless. Here's hoping that this marks the end of any further contact from them. I have never had an Egg account, and it seems I certainly won't be getting one in the future.
