Over the past few days, this number kept popping up on my phone. At first, I was sure it was some kind of scam, like most would be. To be safe, I called Lloyds Bank using the contact found on their official site, 0345 300 0000, and they confirmed it was their official line. The calls were actually about my son's account - he’s the one who’d been trying to buy some tickets online but had forgotten his secure ID details needed to finish the purchase. They did ask for some security information, including a code sent to voicemail. So, while it's always wise to be on guard with calls like this, in this instance, it was definitely legit.

I rang Lloyds customer support on 0345 300 0000 about something else, and while I was on the phone I mentioned I’d had several missed calls from 08453510192. I’d found this page too and wasn’t sure if the number was genuine. The lady from Lloyds assured me that the number definitely belongs to them and is completely safe to answer. If you’re still worried, I’d recommend giving Lloyds a ring yourself. Apparently, they’d called me because they suspected some dodgy activity on my account online. It's not some sort of scam, just a robotic system calling. They go through your transactions to check if they're legit. They don’t ask for any personal info though.

Without a doubt this is a scam... I originally got duped back in early September and now they're at it again today... Can't seem to pay anything online. They began ringing me from 8 in the morning, and kept it up about every ten minutes. Tried telling the answering machine to stop, but no luck. Ended up blocking the number, but that only helps for a bit. After a short break, they start again, just tweaking the last three digits of their phone number. Proper annoying!

This number has rung me a few times this week, saying they're from LLOYD'S BANK and warning about dodgy activity on my account. They claimed the bank's fraud team was trying to reach me. I just hung up straight away. I then checked my account online and rang the bank myself from my mobile. They told me there was no suspicious activity and no one from their fraud department had tried to call me. The bank logs all calls linked to your account. Just a heads up, if you give your details over the phone and your money gets nicked, the bank might not pay you back since you handed over access. Always call your bank or building society back on a different phone. Be careful - sometimes they play busy call centre noises to trick you into the scam.

This is definitely a scam. Every single review on any platforms claiming it’s legit appears to be fabricated, likely by the con artists themselves. I strongly advise against dialling the number. I've spoken to Lloyds, and they’ve confirmed that this is indeed a fraudulent line.

I got a text from a different number asking if the account number ending with some stars and last 4 digits was mine, but it wasn’t my account. They wanted to know if I’d made a purchase. I replied saying no, then they called me back telling me to call a certain number, but I never called them.

This number has called me a few times but I ignored them initially. When I eventually picked up, a message said it was Lloyds TSB regarding a security issue. I suspected it might be some kind of scam so I went straight to Lloyds to check it out. It actually was legit. Since I hadn’t answered before, they had actually blocked my card and held back some payments as a precaution. Thankfully everything’s been sorted now.
