To set my mind at ease, I rang Lloyds Bank directly using the contact number listed on their official site, 0345 300 0000. They verified that the number in question is indeed theirs. It turns out it was related to my son's account-I'm also a customer with them. My son had been attempting to buy some tickets online but had forgotten his secure ID details to finalise the purchase. The call did request some security information, including a code sent to voicemail. It’s wise to remain vigilant with these kinds of calls, but in this instance, it turned out to be completely legitimate.
