She told me our registration had expired a year ago and that renewing it would cost £49.99 for 3 years, or £59.99 for a lifetime sign-up. She spoke really nicely but seemed a bit pushy about taking my card info on the spot. When I asked for more details, she suggested I ring TPS directly, and once they confirmed it, she’d call me back to finish the payment. Just to be clear, TPS is free, and I verified our number is still registered with them. We reported the incident to TPS, and the reps said they’d received a warning this morning about similar fraud calls. They told us they'd flag the number to their head office for further action.
