I've been getting calls from this number at all sorts of times, from just after dawn until late evening. We decided to ring the number back earlier today, and it appears to be linked to Virgin Media. However, we didn't manage to speak to anyone on the line.

I received several calls from these chaps claiming there was an unpaid balance on our Virgin Media account. Naturally, we took a gander at our statements and relayed to them that everything was in order. After that, we decided to contact Virgin Media directly using the number from their official website, only to find out that these blokes had never contacted us and, in fact, there was absolutely nothing outstanding. It turns out the number was a total scam. When we called them back to let them know, the bloke on the line was utterly speechless.

I completely concur with the sentiments expressed previously. Honestly, once you get through to the operator, these individuals are utterly ineffectual for any assistance. Our intention is merely to switch providers for our phone, television, and broadband services, but as I lack a BT line, I’m faced with a whopping charge of £130 just to be reconnected - all in the name of changing suppliers (Sky, TalkTalk, Tesco, and the like). Unfortunately, that £130 is a bit beyond our budget at the moment. So if anyone has an alternative solution or workaround for this predicament, we would be immensely grateful to hear about it!

We've received several messages from one of the many automated systems that Virgin Media seems to rely on. They claimed that we had an outstanding balance, which, to be fair, was accurate. We've settled that bill, and everything seemed to be in order afterwards. However, we're not convinced this was a scam; rather, it appears their customer service is rather lacking.

I keep getting calls from this number during the night. As soon as we pick up, there’s complete silence on the other end. What's even more frustrating is that when we hang up and redial, the caller remains on the line without saying a word for several minutes. It's honestly becoming quite the nuisance!

I just received a call from this number, and when I picked up, there was nothing but silence on the line. I decided to hang up and try to dial 1471, only to be met with silence once more instead of the expected dial tone. After putting the phone down for about ten seconds, I tried again, but still no dial tone! Then, out of the blue, a recorded message popped up saying, "Apologies, but call back is not permitted!" It makes me wonder if Virgin or some other service provider was trying to reverse the call charges without our consent?

We’re in complete accord with everything mentioned previously. When you finally get through to the operator, it turns out these individuals are utterly unhelpful-quite frankly, a waste of time. We’re simply trying to switch our phone, TV, and broadband provider, but the catch is that I don’t have a BT line linked to my account, which means I’d need to fork out £130 to BT just to be reconnected before I can opt for other providers like Sky, TalkTalk, Tesco, or any other entertainment company. Unfortunately, that £130 is a bit steep for us at the moment. If anyone has any suggestions or workarounds, we’d really appreciate your input!
