I received this number from Johnston Publishing (NewsDirectOn) on an invoice indicating a payment of £11 for my newspapers, supposedly via their 24-hour direct debit hotline. What wasn’t disclosed were any fees associated with this service until I saw my phone bill. The auto-service was anything but efficient; it was utterly frustrating, leading to two attempts to pay that ended up costing me an additional 24p and 63p. To top it off, my papers arrived late - over four days old. I've decided to cancel this so-called service. Take my advice: steer clear of this number as it incurs charges!
