I got a call from someone claiming to be from Lloyds Bank, asking for my personal info. I told them if they were legit they’d already have my details. They turned pretty nasty after I called them out as scammers. Honestly, these kinds of calls are really risky - best to just hang up and not engage.

I got a call from 08453000000 claiming to be from Lloyds Bank, saying one of my direct debits had failed. They tried pushing me for my personal details, but it felt off right away. Just a heads up - never ever give out your info to numbers like this, it's definitely a scam.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Lloyds Bank, sounded super legit with a really proper English accent. They even knew my name and said there was some fraud going on with my account. Seemed quite genuine at first!

I got a call where the number showed Lloyds Bank, and the person said he was from their fraud team. He asked if I’d made a £900.50 payment to someone named Mr Patel, which I definitely hadn’t. Then he told me to change my daily withdrawal limit. That’s when I started feeling iffy and asked why he’d be worried about my card when I’d already cancelled it. Next, he wanted me to log into my banking app, and that’s when I ended the call. I checked with Lloyds’ official fraud department afterwards, and they confirmed it was a scam and they hadn’t reached out to me at all.

Got a call from a number 08453000000, supposedly from Lloyds Bank, claiming I'd been scammed. They wanted all my banking and credit card info to "cancel" my cards - pretty sure it was a total scam. Don’t fall for it!

I got a call from a private number, and the person on the line used my first name, saying it was “the bank” calling. When I asked for a callback number, they gave me that one above. I never rang back because it felt dodgy - they only told me their first name and didn’t mention any bank info. Pretty worrying since they clearly knew my name, so it seems like some of my personal details might be out there somewhere.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Lloyd’s Bank about some dodgy stuff on my account. I told him to call back at 6, but he never bothered. Said his name was Bradley or something. I rang Lloyd’s myself later that evening and they confirmed it was a con. Had to block the number after that.

I missed a call from this number and when I checked the voicemail, it was just silence. A quick Google search shows it’s linked to Lloyds Bank, but I’m not a customer there and couldn’t find any recent info about it. Bit strange really.

I got a call from a woman who wanted to know if she was talking to me by my full name, saying she was ringing from Halifax about some new product. I told her no and said I had to go. It's strange since in nine years Halifax never called me on my mobile with any offers before, so it seemed fishy. If she rings again, I’ll just hang up straight away.

I’m continually receiving messages from this person, and it’s really getting on my nerves! I’d love to know how to put an end to it. I feel like this might even be a form of harassment. I'm seriously considering taking legal action against them.

Had a text message come through on the 13th of February at 18:16, stating something about setting up a web payment on the 11th at 02:59 for an account ending in 8380. It also mentioned calling 0845 3000000 for any questions. However, we're not entirely sure which account they're talking about.

I received a rather suspicious SMS claiming that I’d just established an online payment. It was timed for 3pm, right when I’d been out at a meeting all morning. Naturally, I took a moment to check my account, but thankfully nothing seemed amiss. It’s the first time I’ve encountered a text like this, and as someone mentioned earlier, it’s quite concerning.

This number belongs to Lloyds TSB, and I've got to say, their service is quite impressive when it comes to notifying us about our transactions. Now, for anyone out there who isn’t a customer and has received texts, it’s likely that someone has mistakenly entered an incorrect mobile number-often just misplacing a single digit-and that’s why the messages have landed in your inbox.

We constantly receive these pesky text messages, typically once or twice a month, and it’s clear that the senders have no ties to any transactions related to our account. I reached out to Lloyds' Customer Service for clarification, but they insisted that these must be legitimate notifications for some payment arrangement we've supposedly established. The truth is, we've set up absolutely nothing! After trying to reason with them a few times, we ended up feeling rather exasperated. Now, we simply delete the messages without a second thought!

I missed a call earlier, so I decided to give the number a ring back. It’s rather annoying that we can’t connect without entering our details first. All I did was jot down a few random numbers and, to my surprise, got through to a lovely lady in customer service. However, what really put me on edge was when she mentioned that they would only reach out in cases of suspicious activity, like our card being used abroad or if we went over our limit. Since neither of those scenarios applied, it makes me think this might just be some sort of sales tactic, as others have pointed out in the discussion.

I took it upon myself to ring this number today out of curiosity. Turns out, it’s indeed a legitimate contact for Lloyds Bank, as confirmed by my bank statement from 1st May 2015. A recorded voice informed me that the number will be transitioning to a more economical one: 03453000000. There doesn't appear to be much cause for concern. I must admit, the prior comment from the anonymous user three months back was a bit unclear to me.

I recently received a rather alarming message from LlOYDSTSB, declaring, "CONFIRMATION you've JUST SET UP A NEW web PAYMENT, DATE & TIME." The thing is, we were sound asleep when it supposedly happened! We haven't initiated any transactions at all, which makes this scenario quite concerning. It's quite unsettling to receive such misleading information; one might even call it harassment. Is there any means by which we can put a stop to such nonsense? Lloydstsb ought to be thoroughly embarrassed by this situation!

I’ve had this number ringing my phone for a good seven minutes without me giving them a call back. They've been the ones initiating contact, and now I'm being asked to cover costs. Additionally, I recently received a call from an Australian number, specifically 0061741599661, which appears to belong to a company named PJ Pershouse, located at 24 Cobs Road, Bucca QLD 4670. I’ve no clue who these folks are, and it’s not like I’d ever consider making a call to Australia. It’s all rather irritating, to be honest. To top it off, they’re charging me for these unwanted calls, which I believe is quite the scam. I’ve been hit with a bill for £1.59; it may not seem like a fortune at first, but it adds up over time if it keeps happening. This sort of thing really shouldn’t be permitted.

I'm absolutely horrified by the treatment I received from Lloyds TSB's harassment team! It's as if I was on the verge of being swindled by a bank that operates like a butcher preying on its victims. It's clear that their so-called “special operations” are nothing more than a sinister plot. Truly appalling!

I’ve just experienced the very same thing! We don’t have any accounts with Lloyds, and the number that received the message is one I only recently acquired and haven’t shared with anyone yet. There’s definitely something off about this-be cautious!

Not long ago, we received one of those rather peculiar texts claiming that we had initiated a web payment. Just prior to that, we had added three new beneficiaries for our transactions, and, with the utmost caution, we confirmed everything with Lloyds TSB via our landline around half an hour after their addition. All seemed perfectly fine. So, it struck me as odd when, two weeks later, we got a message concerning only ONE beneficiary, asking for our bank account number-which, mind you, we had not provided at any point. To make matters even stranger, this all happened while we were enjoying a meal at a restaurant abroad with some friends. Quite the bizarre situation, wouldn’t you agree?

This seems to be the harassment department for Lloyds TSB - how truly unfortunate for you! It looks like you're in for a nasty run-in with a bank that profits at the expense of the vulnerable, much like a butcher skimming off the prime cuts. We’re aware of the shady dealings that go on behind the scenes, particularly those tied to their so-called 'Special Operations'. Just be cautious, mate!

I recently received a text message from this number, and it turned out to be Lloyds TSB verifying a transaction from our account. I don't think there's anything dodgy about it at all. The number 08453000000 is just their customer service line.

As someone who's heavily involved in the fight against scams, I can't help but feel infuriated when I see these pesky texts requesting account numbers right after they've popped up on our phones. Have the folks at LLOYDS completely overlooked the dangers of phishing? They really ought to be educating their customers on the perils of engaging with such messages! It’s baffling to me!
