I recently had a phone call from this number. The chap on the other end spoke English quite well. Unfortunately, my landline is playing up, so he ended the call since I couldn't make myself heard.

I had a rather peculiar experience earlier. A woman with a rather quaint English accent called me directly - nothing pre-recorded, mind you. She proceeded to mention my name, which piqued my curiosity, before she began droning on about some supposedly local 'event' related to personal finances. I couldn’t shake off the feeling that it was all a bit dodgy or possibly a ruse to dig for my private information. To top it all off, they completely disregarded my registration with the Telephone Preference Service. The company name sounded like Lion Event Management or something of the sort. Quite the nuisance, really!
