I've been receiving persistent calls from some company trying to assist me with debts that simply don’t exist. I’ve no financial issues at all! I’ve asked them to stop calling and informed them that their actions are not legal, especially since I’m registered on the Telephone Preference Service. Yet, they just hang up on me straight away! Any suggestions on how to tackle this?

I too received that robotic call along with a subsequent one. They claimed to be hailing from the Consumer Advice Group, a firm that has been out of business since August 16. Curiously enough, a certain Dean Fitton appears as the director of this organisation, yet he now operates as a Sales Manager at DebtSolve Direct. Not quite sure if there's any link between the two, but I found it rather suspicious that my inquiry into how they obtained my information led to them simply hanging up on me. Quite the cheek, if you ask me!

I've received persistent calls from this bothersome number - 0845 286 9115 - a total of five times in the last four hours! The final call came in at precisely 18:27. It wasn't your typical sales spiel either; the caller actually grunted like some sort of animal before abruptly disconnecting. Quite bizarre, to say the least! I intend to file a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office later this evening. Ta!

It appears that I've been inundated with calls from individuals touting Debt Management services. More often than not, these annoying interruptions are kicked off by some dodgy automated marketing call, coaxing you to press a button if you wish to be contacted, or another one if you want to opt out. At my company, Xynics, which operates within the esteemed data sector, we're on a mission to uncover the identity of these persistent callers. I’m diligently reporting each instance to the Information Commissioner's Office via their website at https://ico.org.uk/concerns/nuisance-calls-and-messages/. With enough complaints, they might eventually track down these culprits and hold them accountable. This marks the second wave of these unwanted calls I've received in under a fortnight, despite their claims that they’ll take my number off their list. They seem reluctant to reveal their identities and have the audacity to suggest they’re operating within the law. However, they're indeed skating on thin ice. Under UK law, any automated calls-those featuring recorded messages rather than actual people-must only be made with your express permission to market their services.
