Received a call purporting to be from BT, offering to establish a new calling service. It raised my suspicions, so I decided to terminate the conversation and blocked the number.

These callers are such a nuisance. I never pick up my home phone during the day since everyone I know just rings my mobile. I usually tuck my phone under my pillow so I don’t get disturbed. It’s really sad, they should get proper jobs instead of bothering older folks like us.

This number just rang me up offering free calls. They somehow knew my postcode and street, which was a bit creepy. The guy claimed I was with BT, which isn’t true, and he was quite pushy. I told him it sounded like a scam and he got quite nasty. Ended up hanging up on him after telling him to stop being so rude.

On 22 July 2015, at 11:41am, I got a call on my landline from 08452 868745. The person said his name was Lee and claimed he was from I-talk. He tried to convince me he needed to arrange my free calls, which he insisted should’ve already been sorted. I told him we use BT as our provider. He fired back, asking if he’d be calling me if he didn’t already know that, plus claimed BT had given him permission to call. Then he went on about how I surely should be saving money. I told him not to ring again as we're on the Telephone Preference Service. He challenged me on how long we’ve been registered, suggesting you need to re-register every six months, but I said you only do it once. He got quite rude, arguing I was wrong. I lost it and told him to “fuck off, you low life scumbag” before hanging up. I’m going to report him to the TPS. We should all do this to stop these dodgy calls! Best avoid answering calls from 08452 868745 - caller says he’s from I-Talk.

Got a call from some bloke saying he was from Openreach, trying to set up my anytime call thingy. I told him I’m on the TPS, but he said he wasn’t cold calling. I told him I sorted my broadband last week with BT and didn’t see why he was ringing me. In the end, he just hung up. I called the number back and found out it was from "I talk" or a name like that.

Got a call from a woman saying she was from I Talk and I had to activate some free calls, but then she asked for someone I’ve never even heard of. When I said I didn’t know them, she went on and argued that it was definitely the right person and accused me of messing about. Pretty sure I know my own identity! This has scam written all over it. Don’t bother picking up if this number shows up!

Got a call from 08452868745 trying to sort us out with free calls even tho we already got them from our network. They had our name, address and postcode. Very polite but still a bit of a hassle.

I keep getting calls from this number incessantly, and if I happen to ignore it, they just switch to another number and keep on trying. It’s happening a staggering 12 to 14 times daily-it's absolutely infuriating!

just got a ring from 08452868745 - some bloke who was really pushy asking why i hadn’t got ‘icall’ on my phone line yet. when i asked him who he was, what company he worked for, and why he was calling me, he just ended the call. definitely seemed like a hard sell approach. weirdly, he knew my last name too.

Got a call from them earlier today, said they were checking the line and now supposedly we have free calls evenings and weekends. What’s going on? Asked some questions but they didn’t really give straight answers. Anyone know who these lot are?

No idea who these people are but they keep ringing even tho i’m not Mrs Jones! Told them loads of times they’ve got the wrong person but they just keep calling, and loads of the time they hang up if i ask who they are. I’m disabled and they always seem to call when i’m not right by the phone which is really frustrating cos it’s tough for me to get back to it quickly. I’ve honestly lost my patience and told them how annoyed i am - but they just don’t stop! Makes me wonder what the point of being on the TPS really is.

They ring me about six to ten times daily, either from 00448452868745 or just 08452868745. I sometimes pick up but they just cut the call straight away. This has been going on since like February 2015.

I've had this number call me a couple of times over the past few hours, but when I answer no one says a word. It's been ringing twice so far. The number showing up is 0845 2868745. Date: 20-03-2015, time around 4:15.

Calls keep coming even tho we’re on the TPS list. Why is this happening? TPS seems completely useless.

Got a missed call from these at about 3pm. Returned the call and an automated voice said “hello you’ve been called by talk” then just ended the call. It asked me to press 1 to opt out, which I did, but then it wanted me to enter my number again. I just hung up. Added the number as a sales call so I’ll ignore it if it rings again.

Got a call from this number asking for Mr Larsson... Larsson is actually my girlfriend's last name!!!!

This phone number has been ringing me for two days in a row now. I didn’t pick up since it showed as 0044845 on my screen. I ended up blocking it using the 14258 free tool included with my TalkTalk deal.

Got a call from this number supposedly to 'verify my free evening and weekend calls' because apparently, my BT account doesn't show them. They had my name right but mixed up my address completely, plus I don't even have BT! Said they were from some firm called I Talk - total unwanted hassle. - caller: I Talk

Got a call from a lady with a foreign accent saying she could help me save money by sorting free calls. She even knew my postcode. Told her I was fine with my current provider and not interested. Fingers crossed they dont call back again.

I'm getting bombarded by calls from this number-sometimes six times in a single day! Does anyone have any tips on how I can put an end to this incessant nuisance?

Got a call from this number, a bloke on the phone had the nerve to call me daft for not trying to save cash on my calls.

Got a call from someone saying they were ringing ‘for bt’ and told us we hadn’t arranged our ‘free calls’. Bit odd since I have an all-in deal already. They tried to grill me about our account but I didn't say a thing. Definitely a scam! Just hang up and report it to the ICO.

Could someone clarify if this number, which kicks off with 0845, is indeed a UK number when it's prefixed by the British international dialling code of 0044?

they ring me up every day but i dont pick up 0845. even being on the phone preference service doesnt seem to block their calls.

never pick up 0845 calls, just ignores them every time.

Just got a ring from these folks, a friendly lady who actually knew my name. She told me they hadn’t arranged my free calls yet and said I was entitled to them since I’m with Openreach. I told her I had no idea what she was talking about. Then she started asking when I usually make calls and use the internet. She even asked how much my monthly bill usually is. If she was genuine, she’d have that info already. As soon as I mentioned I’m on a package, she just ended the call.

Just got a call from this number asking if I’d received my free calls but they didn’t say who they were or what it was about.

The number seems to be registered under API Telecom Limited, so it’s probably been rented out to a call centre. It appears that there's a way to block such calls.

This number rings me loads but never leaves a message. Anyone know how to make these calls stop???

Got a call from some telesales team trying to push their phone deals on me, but they were working from really outdated info (They knew my name but had an old address and wrongly thought I was with BT).
